Summary
Climate change research continues to reveal new impacts of warming air temperature on Earths ecological and physical systems. The goal of this talk is to reaffirm the reality of global climate change, update the audience on new global and local research findings, and to discuss in more detail issues related to climate change in Hawaii.
Dr. Chip Fletcher is Professor and Associate Dean at the School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He conducts research and teaches courses on coastal environmental processes and the impacts climate change on island communities. Fletcher is recipient of awards for teaching, public service, and research.
