“Implementing a Stormwater Audit for the State of Hawaii Department of Transportation”

Summary:
Join Phil Potter, Project Manager at Kennedy Jenks (KJ), to hear more about a four-year audit of HDOT’s stormwater programs. Phil will present KJ’s overall approach to evaluating HDOT’s stormwater programs, as well as notable findings to date. He will highlight the challenges encountered and lessons learned thus far from both the perspective of the auditor and the MS4 permit holders. The target audience for this presentation is MS4 permit holders and consultants who may be subjected to such an evaluation in the future and would like to prepare. Phil will also discuss recent developments in stormwater permitting and management in the State of Hawaii.
Speaker Biography:
Mr. Phil Potter earned his bachelor's degree in Geography with a focus in GIS from McGill University, followed by a master of science (MS) in Natural Resource and Environmental Management as well as an Executive Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He is also a Certified Professional in Stormwater Quality (CPSWQ) and Certified Professional in Municipal Stormwater Management (CPMSM). Mr. Potter has over ten years of experience in the environmental consulting industry helping clients solve complex environmental issues.
